The Aston Martin DB5 used on the James Bond film Goldfinger, and all the external gadgets this amazing vehicle had to help 007 fight the bad guys. The interior of the James Bond’s deadly silver-birch and its features make the movie even better!
The Interior Of The James Bond’s DB5
The interior of the Aston Martin DB5 used in the James Bond film was incredible detailed, combining the real dials and controls in the dashboard of the real DB5 and some hidden extras, like the weapons console under the armrest and the hidden button of the ejector seat, located in the gearstick. The production team of the James Bond Goldfinger movie also added a radio telephone in the driver’s door, and a tracking device in the dashboard that flashes to show the location of the Aston Martin on the map. An important curious fact is that the radio telephone extra never appeared in the movie, but was included in the car.
The Promotion Of The James Bond Goldfinger Film
To promote the Goldfinger movie, the two Aston Martin DB5s used on the film were taken to the 1964 New York World’s Fair, and after the fair the DB5 was declared the most famous car in the world. Also, the Bond franchise created a business relationship with Corgi Toys, a British die-cast toy manufacturer who created a highly detailed DB5 collectible car, which became the biggest selling toy in 1964.
