MG: More Than A Car, A British Icon

When we talk about British Classic Sports Cars we have to mention MG Car Company as one of the most popular British classic cars ever.  MG was founded in 1924 by Cecil Kimber and he chose the name MG inspired by the name of Morris Garages, were he used to work.

The first car manufactured by MG Car Company Limited was the MG 14/28 in 1924.  The MG 14/28 was a Sports Car with a 1802 cc engine, four cylinders and  a three-speed manual transmission. In 1927 the MG 14/28 was replaced by a very similar model, the MG 14/40. One of the main differences between the two models was that the 14/40 was the first MG car that carried the MG Octagon badge on its radiator.
